UCEED Exam Coaching and Preparation

Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design, otherwise known as UCEED, is held every year for the selection of candidates for B.Des in many reputed institutes in India. The list includes some prominent institutes such as IITDM Jabalpur, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Bombay.

Every year, both foreign and national aspirants appear in this examination to seek admission in the aforementioned reputed institutes in India. The next edition of UCEED will be conducted in 2020. If you are planning to join UCEED coaching with the aspiration to get selected for the course, read on to know more about the eligibility, question pattern and syllabus of the course.

Eligibility criteria for UCEED entrance examination

Candidates who either have a higher secondary degree or are about to appear in it are eligible to take this entrance examination. However, there are some important rules which a candidate needs to bear in mind.

Every aspirant of UCEED must bear the following rules in mind:

  • Students from the general or OBC-NCL category who were born after October 1, 1995, and candidates from PwD, SC/ST who were born after October 1, 1989, are eligible for the examination.
  • Students from other countries with an equivalent or higher degree are also eligible for the examination
  • Each student can appear for a maximum of two times in two consecutive years for the examination. The scores of the examination remain valid for one year and are taken into consideration for the admission of students in the same academic year.

UCEED Exam: Question Paper Pattern

Knowing the question paper pattern of an examination is one of the core elements of preparing for it systematically. The same holds for UCEED preparation. There will be three sections in the question paper: section A, B, and C. The information about these sections are listed below in detail.

Section A

Section A of the question paper will have numerical questions. Unlike the other sections of the paper, which involve multiple-choice questions, students will not get any choice under this component. Instead, they will have a virtual keyboard to input the answer in the form of a number on the computer screen.

Section B

In this section, students will have four choices to answer multiple select questions. Out of all the given options, they will have to choose the right option. Some questions may have more than one choice. Students need to choose their answers accordingly.

Section C

This section of the paper will have multiple-choice questions, and students will need to choose the right answer out of four given options.

Syllabus for UCEED 2020

In the question paper for UCEED examination 2020, students will get questions from the following topics:
