SOFT CET 2025 Exam Pattern – Explained by SILICA Institute
The SOFT CET 2025 (School of Fashion Technology Common Entrance Test) consists of three key components that assess your design aptitude, creativity, and communication skills. All components are conducted online on the same day, and participation in each is mandatory for admission consideration.
Components of SOFT CET 2025:
General Ability Test: This section evaluates your logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and general awareness.
Studio Test / Group Discussion: This is a hands-on assessment of your creativity, design thinking, and teamwork. Depending on the course, it may include design tasks or group discussions.
Personal Interview + Portfolio + Statement of Purpose (SOP)
In this round, candidates present their portfolio and SOP while interacting with the interview panel to showcase their passion and potential in the design field.
The Entrance Examination will consist of General Ability Test + Studio Test / Group Discussions + Personal Interview. It is mandatory for all the candidates to take all three tests.
Online Test – 60 Marks
Studio Test / Group Discussions – 140 Marks
Personal Interview (Portfolio + Statement of Purpose) – 50 Marks
