The main campus is located in NID Ahmedabad, Gujarat, offering flagship Bachelor of Design (B.Des), Master of Design (M.Des), and PhD programs. NID Gandhinagar (Postgraduate Campus) – Specializes in Master of Design (M.Des) programs and research initiatives. while the NID Bengaluru (R&D Campus) focuses on design-led research, innovation, and doctoral studies. NID Andhra Pradesh (Amaravati) – It offers undergraduate B.Des programs to cater to students in the southern region. NID Haryana (Kurukshetra) – Provides B.Des programs and aims to boost design education in North India. NID Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal) – It offers B.Des courses, expanding design opportunities in Central India. NID Assam (Jorhat) – Dedicated to undergraduate design education, serving the Northeastern region of India. NID offers 4 years B.Des. program in 8 design disciplines at its main campus in Ahmedabad (125 seats). From 2020 onwards NID offers 4 years B.Des program in 3 design disciplines at its new campuses in Vijayawada, Kurukshetra, Bhopal & Jorhat (75 seats each = 300 seats). NID offers 2.5 years M.Des. program in 19 design disciplines at its campuses in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar & Bengaluru (347 seats).

The main campus of NID is in Ahmedabad and the research and development campus is in Bengaluru while the post graduate campus is in Gandhinagar. NID also has campuses in Vijayawada, Jorhat, and Kurukshetra.
