Once the 10th results are out, students find it baffling to choose the right career path for themselves. And why not, it is quite foolish to rely on a 10th-class student to choose his/her career option. Students are often influenced by their peers, society and parents while they are taking a crucial decision of choosing the right profession for themselves. Under their guidance, most students fail to recognise their true potential and later on regret it.

According to CBSE, nearly 32 lakhs students appeared for the 10th board exams this year. When asked about their career preferences, most students were clueless or become swayed by their peer circle. So now the question is how can we help students realise their true career preferences without letting them get affected by others or society?

Well, how about an expert career counsellor? An experienced counsellor not only guides students to realise their true potential by comprehending their skills, talent and interest but also makes them realise their true worth. Being unbiased, counsellors ensure students recognise their professional choice by themselves and not under someone’s influence.

What are the different career options for Architecture and Design?

Students who passed out of 10th will have to sit for a separate entrance exam in order to get admission in Architecture and design Diploma courses.  Below we have provided different career options and consecutive entrance exams to be taken for them to excel in their respective career.

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA). This is for students pursuing admission in undergraduate programs such as BArch (5-year). Candidates will have the choice of appearing in one or all exams.

In Silica, we have the best study material created by NID alumni. We have the study material mapped for the exam pattern and provide 10 full mock tests & solutions for the students to solve. Students can also go through the past 10 years of solved papers for reference. Study material is available online for students to learn without any time constraints.

The UCEED course is for undergraduate students who want to pursue a career in design. It is conducted by IIT Bombay under the supervision of the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee. Every year candidates are admitted to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) program at participating colleges.

NID is a university for the design that provides entrance examinations such as the NID-DAT, NID-Studio Test, and Personal Interview. They have to clear two NID admission tests in order to be admitted to the Bachelor of Design (BDes).

NID, NIFT, and IIT-IDC alumni map out SILICA courses with deep experience in teaching. The course includes coaching for other design schools like PEARL, MIT, SRISHTI, and IAM entrance exams.
