The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has announced that the application process for the 2025 admissions cycle is already live on the 22nd November 2024. Aspiring designers can now gear up to apply for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by NIFT, one of India’s premier fashion education institutions.

Eligibility Criteria:

 

 

Undergraduate Programs (BDes and BFTech)

• • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: For BFTech, candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 10+2.
  • Age Limit: Maximum age should be less than 24 years as of August 1st of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by 5 years for candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories.

Postgraduate Programs (MDes, MFM, MFTech)

• • Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Subjects: For MFTech, candidates should have a bachelor’s in BFTech or engineering.
  • Age Limit: Maximum age should be less than 30 years as of August 1st of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by 5 years for candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories.

The availability of seats under NRI category is as follows:

•  5 (supernumerary) seats each academic programme at NIFT Campuses Bengaluru, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi & Raebareli.

• 3 (supernumerary) seats each per academic programme at Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Daman, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Panchkula, Patna, Shillong and Varanasi.

How to Apply

  • Click on ‘Online registration for NIFT Admission 2025.’
  • Register by providing the necessary details to create login credentials.
  • Login and complete the application form, including personal, academic, and communication details.
  • Choose your preferred exam centre.
  • Upload a colour photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.
  • Make the payment for the application fee online.
  • Submit the form and retain the confirmation page for future reference.

Application Fees:

• Non-Refundable Fee for Open/OBC (NonCreamy Layer)/Open-EWS Category: Rs.3000/- through the payment gateway.
• Non-Refundable Fee for SC/ST/PWD Category: Rs. 1500/- through payment gateway.
• The application fee (₹3000 or ₹1500) can be paid using credit or debit cards via the NIFT admission website. Applicants are responsible for any bank and transaction charges associated with the payment.
