Welcome to the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)Counselling Process 2025! This document provides essential information and guidance for candidates seeking admission to NIFT for the academic year 2025-2026.

About NIFT:

NIFT, established in 1986, is India’s premier institute for fashion education and research. With campuses across major cities, NIFT offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various disciplines of fashion and design, catering to the diverse needs of the industry.There are total 19 NIFT campuses across India.

Importance of Counselling:

Counselling plays a crucial role in the admission process, helping candidates make informed decisions about their academic journey at NIFT. Through counselling, candidates can explore program options, clarify doubts, and understand the admission procedure in detail.

Schedule Overview:

• Registration Period: 5th June’24 to 15th June’24
• Document Verification: 5th June’24 to 17th June’24
• Choice Filling:5th June’24 to 19th June’24
• Seat Allotment: 21st June’24
• Fee Payment and Seat Acceptance: 21st June’24 to 24th June’24
• Reporting to Allotted Campus: 31st July’24

Counselling Process Steps:

1.  Registration:

• Visit the official NIFT website and complete the online registration process within the specified dates.
• Provide accurate details and upload necessary documents as per the instructions provided.

2.  Document Verification:

• After successful registration, candidates need to attend the document verification process as per the scheduled dates.

5.  Seat Allotment:

• Seat allotment is done based on merit rank, category and availability of seats.
• Candidates can check their allotment status online and proceed with the next steps accordingly.

6.  Fee Payment and Seat Acceptance:

• Candidates need to pay the prescribed fee to confirm their allotted seat within the stipulated time.
• Failure to pay the fee on time may lead to the cancellation of the allotted seat.
• The fee structure for Indian nationals and NRIs at various NIFT campuses is shown below.
