What is CEED?
The Common Entrance Examination for Design. commonly referred to as CEED, is the entrance exam conducted annually for design students and is one of the most important scores considered for admission in M.Des/PhD programmes across various prestigious institutions in India. Every year the exam takes place on the same date across IIT and IISc campuses in India, and the results of the test are valid for a period of one year. While some students choose to prepare for the exam on their own, many aspirants opt for coaching classes that have the right faculty and study material for CEED exam.
CEED Exam pattern
Roughly, the CEED exam can be divided into two parts – Part A and Part B.
Part A (Total marks: 150; Maximum time: 1 hour)
The exam is computer-based, so you will know immediately whether you are eligible to sit for Part B. The entire exam will be in the English medium. This part consist of 3 parts namely Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Question (MSQ), Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
The summary of the paper structure is given below:

PwD candidates using a scribe cannot get help with Part-B, as it tests drawing skills.

CEED Exam Syllabus
Much like the paper pattern, the syllabus of the CEED examination can also be divided into two parts – Part A and Part B. The syllabus for Part A of the CEED exam is as follows,
