Eligibility Criteria to Apply for Admission<\/h2>\n<p>Candidates who meet following three criteria can apply for admission to the B.Des program at participating institutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Criteria 1 &#8211; Age:<\/strong> Candidate should be born on or after 1 October 2001 for OPEN \/ EWS \/ OBC-NCL categories and should be born on or after 1 October 1996 for SC \/ ST \/ PwD categories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Criteria 2 &#8211; UCEED Qualification:<\/strong> Candidate should have qualified i.e. obtained a rank in UCEED 2026 exam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Criteria 3 &#8211; Base Qualification:<\/strong> Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with minimum 5 subjects (all 5 subjects should be passed) in 2025 or 2026 year. Those who appear for the first time in 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2024 or earlier are not eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notes:<br \/><\/strong><strong>a.<\/strong> In addition, certain institutes have stream &amp; subject requirements at the 10+2 exams for admission. They will be directed to an online payment system to remit the <strong>Seat Acceptance Fee<\/strong> of <strong>\u20b960,000<\/strong> for GEN\/EWS\/OBC-NCL and <strong>\u20b9 15,000\/-<\/strong> for SC\/ST\/PwD.<\/li>\n<li>If a candidate <strong>does not pay<\/strong> the Fee for allotted seat by the deadline or DECLINES the offered seat, their application will stand CANCELLED. They cannot participate in future rounds.<\/li>\n<li>If a candidate is allotted their <strong>FIRST<\/strong> choice, they <strong>must ACCEPT<\/strong> (\u2018freeze\u2019) the seat. If they DECLINE, the seat allocation will be CANCELLED and they will not be considered for future rounds.<\/li>\n<li>If the candidate is allotted their <strong>SECOND \/ THIRD \/ FOURTH<\/strong> etc choice, they can either <strong>ACCEPT<\/strong> (\u2018freeze\u2019) or <strong>ACCEPT WITH OPTION<\/strong> TO BE CONSIDERED FOR UPWARD MOVEMENT (\u2018float\u2019) in subsequent rounds. They <strong>should not select<\/strong> DECLINE, in which case their application will stand CANCELLED.<\/li>\n<li>If a candidate selects the <strong>FREEZE<\/strong> option, that means they have Accepted the seat and do not want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation. These candidates will not be considered for subsequent rounds of admission.<\/li>\n<li>If a candidate selects the <strong>FLOAT<\/strong> option, that means they have accepted the seat and have indicated that if admission to an institute of higher preference is offered in the next round, they will accept it. In such a case, the seat allocated &amp; accepted in the earlier round will be automatically forfeited.<\/li>\n<li>In cases of ACCEPT (both \u2018Freeze\u2019 or \u2018Float\u2019), the candidate <strong>must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee<\/strong> mentioned in the allotment letter. Failure to make fee payment by deadline will result in cancellation of their allotted seat and they will not be considered for subsequent rounds of seat allocation.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates offered seats have to remit the seat acceptance <strong>fee only ONCE<\/strong>. Thus, candidates allotted another seat (because they chose the \u2018float\u2019 option) need not pay the seat acceptance fee again.<\/li>\n<li>Seat Acceptance Fee paid is later <strong>adjusted against<\/strong> the tuition fee of the admitting institute.
