With each passing year, the landscape of educational assessments undergoes dynamic changes, and the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is no exception to that. Aspiring architects across the globe anticipate the unveiling of an updated exam pattern with a mix of excitement and apprehension. The initial weeks following the introduction of a new pattern are pivotal, shaping candidates’ strategies and expectations. In this comprehensive guide, we provide insights into the change in exam pattern and syllabus types of questions to anticipate during the crucial first fortnight.<\/span><\/p>\n

Changes in exam Pattern\/ Syllabus<\/b><\/p>\n

Let’s start with the exam pattern.<\/span><\/p>\n

In previous years, the exam pattern was divided into 5 types: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ), Multiple Select Type (MSQ), Numerical Answer Type (NAQ), Preferential Choice Type (PTQ) and Match the Following (MFQ).<\/span><\/p>\n

Apart from that, the exam consisted of 125 questions for 200 marks, with 1, 2, or 3 marks per question.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is considerably changed in the 2024 exam pattern. For starting the exam pattern is divided into 2 parts:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Part A –\u00a0 Consists of 80 marks<\/strong><\/p>\n

Part B – Consists of MCQ of 45 questions of 120 marks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2024\u00a0 syllabus is divided into two parts:<\/span><\/p>\n

Part A<\/strong> – Composition and colour(25 mks), Sketching & composition (25 mks) and 3D composition (30 mks)<\/span><\/p>\n

Part B<\/strong> – numerical ability, visual reasoning, logical derivation, G.K Architecture and design, language interpretation, and design sensitivity\/ thinking.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, we understood the difference in the two-year exam pattern. Now, let us delve more deeply into the expected question pattern in April 2024..<\/span><\/p>\n
