UCEED EXAM FOR B.DES AT IIT’S:<\/b><\/p>\n

The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design(UCEED) is being used to admit students to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programs at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur (UCEED Coaching<\/a>). Many institutes accept the UCEED Score Card for admission to BDes programs. On the official UCEED website, you may find a list of result-sharing institutes that accept UCEED scores for admissions to the BDes program.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay will host UCEED 2025, which will be guided by the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

All nationalities (Indian and foreign) are welcome to apply for UCEED 2025. Candidates applying to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programs at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), and Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur (IIITDMJ) must take the UCEED 2025 exam. Candidates should be aware that simply appearing in UCEED 2025 or being on the rank list does not guarantee or grant automatic admission to the participating institutes’ BDes programs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Candidates who have completed the UCEED must apply separately for BDes admissions through the combined seat allocation process. Only admission to programs in the academic year 2025-2026 is possible with a UCEED 2025 score.<\/span><\/p>\n

ADMISSION TO BDes PROGRAMMES<\/b><\/p>\n

In IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur (participating institutes), applications will be accepted from March 14 to 31, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

ELIGIBILITY<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Age Limit:<\/b> Candidates in the OPEN\/EWS\/OBC-NCL categories should be born on or after October 1, 2000 and those of the SC, ST, or PWD categories must have been born October 1, 1995..<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. UCEED qualification:<\/b> The candidate should have qualified, i.e., obtained a rank, in UCEED 2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Qualifying examination:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>The candidate should have passed all five subjects in Class XII or equivalent in 2024 or 2025.Candidates who appeared for their qualifying examination in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible.Candidates from the Science Stream (with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) at the 10+2 level are eligible to apply to all six participating institutes (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur).Candidates from other streams (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad.Admission to the B.Tech. in Design program at IIT Delhi will be based on JEE (Advanced) rankings. However, aspirants must also qualify in UCEED.For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, only students with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics\/Biology at the 10+2 level can apply.Students from Commerce, Arts, or Humanities at the 10+2 level are NOT eligible to apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur.Candidates from the Science Stream (with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) are eligible to apply to IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee.\n

    Candidates from other streams (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are NOT eligible to apply to IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee.<\/p>\n

    Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2025 should:<\/p>\n

    Complete all parts of their final examination by the date of application for admission.<\/p>\n

    Submit proof of having passed the qualifying examination with required eligibility by September 30, 2025, to the admitting institute.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    ONLINE application Steps:<\/b><\/p>\n

    For the academic year 2025-2026, only UCEED 2025 qualified students can apply for admission to the BDes program at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur. Admissions to the various BDes programs will be handled through a single application form. IIT Bombay’s UCEED Office will process the same application form and supervise the shared seat allocation procedure. <\/span>The IIT Bombay Admissions Portal will have the same application form available. <\/span>On the official UCEED website, a link to the same will be available (www.uceed.iitb.ac.in). Applicants will be able to fill out their personal information and rank their preferred institutes in order of preference.<\/span><\/p>\n
