\nIndian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD) was first registered as Institute of Crafts, Jaipur on 20th April 1995 by the Registrar of Societies, Rajasthan, Jaipur under \u201cRajasthan Societies Registration Act, 1958.\u201d The Vision of IICD is to continue to invigorate the craft sector and to become the Centre of Excellence in Crafts & Design, encouraging research and bringing new life to the languishing crafts of India. As a pioneer in the area of craft design, the Institute works towards the evolution of crafts and artisans in the contemporary socio -economic context. Learning at IICD happens in a vibrant environment of experimentation and innovation.<\/p>\n
