3D Design & Material Handling Students explore visualization and design thinking through 3D Designing. Students explore different materials and create 3D models. Learning this medium helps students understand design in the real 3D world and then replicate the 3D representations on paper.
Design Specialization – CD / ID / Others Students undergo comprehensive coaching in their design specialization covering Design Problem Solving, Visual Sense, Observation & Perception, Environmental Awareness, Mental Ability and Communication skills through a range of visual and textual exercises.
Test Series (8 sample papers) SILICA’s test series is uniquely designed for students to improve their performance with each new test attempted. The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is a national examination that is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) every year on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India. Admission Procedure

Qualifying in Common Entrance Examination for Design doesn't guarantee admission and candidates are required to apply to respective learning and knowledge institutions for admission. They should fulfil other requirements like tests and interviews for admission. For this, you should look out for admission announcements to the postgraduate design programmes.

Reservations for different categories will be as per the rules and regulations of the Government of India. Based on merit, a limited number of assistantships are available to Common Entrance Examination for Design qualified candidates to pursue the programmes.

Eligibility And Qualification Criteria For CEED Examination

CEED exam aspirants must either have completed or expecting to complete any of these conditions, by July:

  • B.F.A. (4-year professional programme, after 10+2)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior design/Design/Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent (4 years' duration after 10+2)
  • B.F.A. (4-year professional programme, after 10+2)
  • Master’s degree in Computer Applications/Science/Arts
  • G.D. Art (5-year programme after 10th) with one year of professional post qualification experience
  • You can appear for the CEED entrance examinations as many times as you want and there is no age limit to pursue the entrance exam.

CEED Examination

  • The CEED examination will be conducted in the following Indian cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulam, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Vishakhapatnam.
  • The CEED examination is conducted into two parts, A and B and candidates should answer both parts.

A screening test including multiple choice questions, Part A is conducted by an online computerized program. This part is characterized by negative marking and only candidates who secure a minimum qualification of cut-off marks get evaluated for Part B. The score of Part B is used only for merit list and qualified list for CEED entrance examinations. Part B scores get evaluated only after candidates get shortlisted in Part A.
