What is the Entrance Exam Pattern ?
Raffles Creative Aptitude Test (RCAT)
Age Requirement: Minimum 18 years
The entrance test is usually held around 2-3 months before the start of each intake.
Topics Covered in the entrance test :
- The test covers your knowledge of art, design and English.
- It is primarily designed to gauge your aptitude and suitability for the specific programme at Raffles Design International, Mumbai.
- RCAT tests your logical and reasoning aptitude, awareness about the field in general, drawing /colour skills, maths, visualisation skills, and language skills.
The portfolio review and interview assesses your talent, interests, prior training, motivation and self-discipline. A portfolio would typically include around 5-8 examples of your best and most recent creative work.

- English communication skills.
- Extensive portfolio / transcripts & resume – for professionals & students with prior learning in the design course. Personal interview along with original documents is mandatory for exemptions.
- IELTS Score of 5.5 for English Language.
Advanced Diploma (Full Time)
- 10+2 or equivalent from any recognised board. Class 12 students appearing or waiting for results may also apply.
- Minimum age requirement of 16 years.
- English communication skills.
- Extensive portfolio / transcripts & resume – for professionals & students with prior learning in the design course. Personal interview along with original documents is mandatory for exemptions.
- IELTS Score of 6.0 for English Language.
Top-Up Degree (Full Time)
- Completion of RCHE Advanced Diploma.
- Minimum age requirement of 19 years.
- IELTS Score of 6.5 for English Language.
- Applicants with non-standard qualifications may apply but will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
